  • Mrs Johann

    Johann Hunter is the co-owner of The Goddard School located in Charlestown. Johann and her husband Mark have a daughter and two young sons. They recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. Johann is excited to be able to provide Goddard's outstanding program to the children in the community. Subsequent to earning her Bachelor's degree in Economics and MBA in Business Management Johann found herself entrenched in the educational development of her oldest son. As a result, Johann developed a passion for early childhood education and, understands the importance of these critical foundational years. She looks forward to sharing her passion with the families of Charlestown.

  • Mr Mark

    Mark Anthony Hunter is the on-site co-owner of The Goddard School of Middleton. Mark and his wife, Johann, have a daughter and two young sons. They recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. Mark and Johann are excited to be able to provide Goddard's outstanding program to the children in the community. Their goal is to be a resource for families as well as a school community where parents can share information and learn from each other.   • Allison

    Ms. Allison is the On-Site operator at our school. Holding a DII certification in Massachusetts, Allison has been in childcare administration for sixteen years, seven of which have been with Goddard. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master’s Degree in Education from Cambridge College. She is currently working towards an MBA in Leadership and Conflict Resolution. Ms. Allison loves helping children (and teachers!) discover their innate talents and passions. Her favorite experience is always the "lightbulb moment" when a child discovers something new for the very first time. As a mother of two, she understands the importance of finding high quality early education and care. Residing on the North Shore, Ms. Allison is excited to work in the welcoming and historic community of Charlestown.

  • Ms Jade-Monae

    Jade brings over 21 years of experience in early childhood education, with a strong background in both teaching and school leadership. As the Center Director at The Goddard School of Charlestown, she is passionate about creating a nurturing, high-quality learning environment where children thrive, educators feel empowered, and families are true partners. Before joining the Goddard School family, Jade helped open and launch The Gardner School of Cambridge as the Executive Director. Her leadership is rooted in relationship-building, strong operational systems, and a deep belief in the power of early education to shape a child’s lifelong love of learning. Jade is also an active advocate for the early education field and a proud alumna of the Strategies for Children (Cohort 3). She enjoys traveling and is always exploring new ways to elevate the early childhood profession.

  • Ms Hanna

    Ms. Hanna brings a depth of experience and passion for early childhood education. Originally from Germany, she completed her teacher training there and holds a master's degree in Early Education and Media. Hanna has had the opportunity to work in various countries, enriching her understanding of diverse educational systems and cultures. Ms. Hanna’s love for STEAM and coding for kids fuels her drive to inspire creativity and problem-solving skills in young learners. She is dedicated to fostering an environment where children can explore, discover, and grow through engaging learning experiences. What she finds most rewarding is seeing children’s excitement in the small, everyday moments, like when they discover the magic of bubbles. It’s those moments of realization and wonder that inspire her work, as she strives to cultivate curiosity and a love for learning in every child.

  • Ms Adriana

    Ms. Adriana is originally from Scituate and just recently moved to Boston! Her journey began with babysitting for neighbors and continued as she took on nannying roles, deepening her love for children and early childhood development. Since 2022, she has been working in school settings and loves it. Growing up, she was deeply inspired by her aunt, who was a foster parent for 17 years through DARE Family Services. This experience helped shape her understanding of the importance of providing a stable, loving, bright and supportive environment for all children. She finds joy in creating a nurturing classroom where even the youngest learners feel safe, valued, and loved. Her favorite book is Are You My Mother? by P.D. Eastman, a story that reflects her belief in the power of curiosity, connection, and belonging in a child’s earliest years.

  • Ms Alexus

    Alexus brings creativity, joy, and a whole lot of imagination to our classrooms! She loves exploring how children see the world through art, storytelling, and hands-on experiences. For Alexus, being creative with the children isn’t just fun it’s a way to connect, learn, and grow together. Her journey into education started with her own love for school as a child. Now, she’s on a mission to make learning just as exciting for the next generation creating classroom spaces that are full of curiosity, laughter, and discovery. When she’s not leading an art project or diving into a new adventure with the kids, you’ll probably find her reading her favorite children’s book, The Lorax by Dr. Seuss because like Lorax, Alexus truly speaks for the creativity in every child.

  • Ms Dorothy

    Dorothy’s journey in childcare began at a young age, growing up in a home where her mother operated a family daycare. Naturally, she spent a lot of time outside of school helping her mother care for the children, which led to a deep love and connection with working with kids and watching them grow. She enjoys working in early education because it gives her the opportunity to help shape the minds of tomorrow while witnessing the excitement of children discovering and learning about the world around them. Dorothy is particularly fond of the book “Mama, Do You Love Me?” by Barbara M. Joosse, which reflects her outlook as both a teacher and a parent—one that’s filled with unconditional patience, care, and love. With a passion for sensory and artistic activities, Dorothy loves creating interactive sensory bins and bags that allow children to explore through touch, sight, and creativity.

  • Ms Edeara

    Ms. Edeara grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and moved to Boston, MA, right after graduating high school. She followed her passion for early childhood education by attending Urban College of Boston and Bunker Hill Community College. With 7 years of experience in childcare, she has a special love for working with infants and toddlers, as she believes in the importance of nurturing their growth from the very beginning. Creating a safe, caring, and supportive space for children is at the heart of everything Ms. Edeara does. She believes that every child deserves to feel secure and valued as they learn and explore the world. One of her favorite children's books is “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Eric Carle, a story that speaks to the wonder of discovery and the joy of learning.

  • Ms Gio

    Gio’s journey into childcare stems from her passion for teaching and her deep love for children. She finds joy in building strong, lasting connections with both the children and their families, fostering a sense of trust and care. Gio loves the opportunity to teach, nurture, and support young minds as they explore, grow, and learn. She believes that every child deserves a supportive environment where they feel valued, and she takes pride in being a part of that. Her favorite book is Love You Forever by Robert Munsch, a heartfelt story that resonates with her approach to nurturing unconditional love and care in her classroom.

    Ms. Gloria is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She has many years of experience working with children and loves seeing their growth and development. Gloria is passionate about helping people of all ages reach their goals and believes in supporting others with kindness, patience, and care. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys learning, growing, and finding new ways to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

    Juan’s journey into education is driven by his deep love for guiding and teaching children of all ages. He believes that blending play with learning creates a powerful environment for growth and development, and he feels incredibly fortunate to be part of that journey. There’s nothing more rewarding to Juan than witnessing the milestones children reach and the impact that learning has on their lives.     Ms. AJ recently joined The Goddard School - Charlestown as an EEC Teacher, bringing warmth, creativity, and care to the classroom. She earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management with a specialization in Human Resources from Washington State University. Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, she has lived and worked in several states before making Boston her new home. Before joining Goddard, Ms. AJ taught first grade in Massachusetts, where she discovered her passion for fostering curiosity, creativity, and growth in young learners. She believes that building strong connections with both children and families is essential to creating a supportive classroom environment. Ms. AJ is excited to guide children through important developmental milestones, celebrate their achievements, and create a space filled with care, exploration, and joy!

  • Ms Jaime

    Ms. Jaime is a current Physics major at Spelman College with a deep passion for early childhood education. She specializes in working with preschool and younger-aged children, bringing creativity, patience, and energy to every learning environment. With experience teaching at summer camps in both New Hampshire and Sharon, MA, Ms. Jaime loves incorporating hands-on science projects and arts and crafts into her lessons to make learning fun and meaningful. She has a special heart for supporting children who may struggle to learn, and she’s committed to helping every child feel confident and capable. Outside the classroom, she enjoys crafting, experimenting with science in everyday life, and finding new ways to spark curiosity in young minds.

    Lucia’s journey in childcare began through a combination of personal experience and a deep love for working with children. After several years of nannying, raising her own children, and volunteering as a Sunday school teacher, she realized her passion for caring for babies and young children. Lucia loves being part of their early development, enjoying how quickly they learn and grow, and knowing she can make a positive impact in their lives.     Ms. Victoria has a deep passion for early childhood education and finds great fulfillment in guiding young learners as they explore and grow. She treasures the joy of seeing a child’s face light up with excitement when they discover something new and believes in fostering a nurturing and encouraging learning environment. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Victoria finds peace in caring for her extensive plant collection, which has grown to over 150 plants. As a proud mother, she cherishes the time spent with her son and values the strong sense of community she has experienced in her lifelong home of Boston. One of her favorite books to share with children is Giraffes Can’t Dance, a heartwarming story that teaches perseverance and self-confidence.
